Winter comes with cool shades of greys.
Oils become dry on his canvas.
He again paints the dull sun-rays,
Falling on brown earth and green grass.

Oils become dry on his canvas.
Dryer are clouds, rivers and dews,
Falling on brown earth and green grass.
Farmers behold fields' golden hues.

Dryer are clouds, rivers and dews.
He beholds shades of joy and
Farmers behold fields' golden hues.
'Farewell autumn' sings the grass-land.

He beholds shades of joy and
He again paints the dull sun-rays.
'Farewell autumn' sings the grass-land.
Winter comes with cool shades of greys.
